Marie Claire Redesign
Redesigning Marie Claire was quite a challenge. After researching the fashion magazine's demographic, I laid out several designs options that would cater to women between the age of 30-59. This required a more sophisticated and refined look to reel in the a age group that prefer the more mature and elegant styling.
Moving back to the magazines roots in the 1940's, I wanted to give it a more classic and uncluttered to keep the feel timeless and simple.
The choice for photography was to have high contrast and color to make the image impactful and eye catching at a glance.
The choice of type was Didot for display text and Baskerville italic to break up the uniform structure of Univers.
