Marie Claire Redesign

Redesigning Marie Claire was quite a challenge. After researching the fashion magazine's demographic, I laid out several design options that would cater to women between the age of 30-59. This required a more sophisticated and refined look to reel in the age group that prefers the more mature and elegant styling.

The Covers

Moving back to the magazine’s roots in the 1940s, I wanted to give it a more classic and uncluttered to keep the feel timeless and simple.

The Photography

The choice for photography was to have high contrast and vibrant color to make the imagery impactful and eye-catching at a glance.

The Interior

The choice of type was Didot for display text and Baskerville italic to break up the uniform structure of Univers.
